The Putnam County War Eagles basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Taylor County Vikings to 76 in the War Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The War Eagles now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rutland for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Putnam County will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Northside (Warner Robins, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 6-3.

The Vikings (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Warner Robins, GA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Northside was nudged by Rutland (Macon, GA), 63-62, in a non-league contest.
