Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hughes BIG RED (Cincinnati, OH) and the visiting Cambridge Bears (Milton, GA), saw Hughes's basketball squad hold off Cambridge by a count of 49-47.

With the victory, Hughes upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The BIG RED travel to Roger Bacon (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Roger Bacon lost 69-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Holy Cross (Covington, KY)

Next up, the Bears play the David Crockett Pioneers (Jonesborough, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Cambridge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
