The Ranburne Bulldogs basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Central of Clay County Volunteers to 36 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodland for a 2A Area 9 contest on Thursday, January 5. Ranburne will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 44-41 non-league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-3.
The Volunteers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland (Woodland, AL). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Woodland ran past Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL), 60-50, in a non-league contest.
