In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Columbus Discoverers basketball team scored a good 54-46 triumph over the North Star Navigators.

In their next game, the Discoverers face the Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 29. Columbus will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a 5-0 record after their 59-39 league win over Omaha Westside (Omaha, NE).
