The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team (Schaumburg, IL), was nudged 51-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL)
The Knights now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lane Tech for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. Lincoln-Way Central will battle a Champions team coming off a 56-52 non-league loss to Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Champions record now stands at 8-6.
The Saxons (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Berwyn/Cicero Morton was nudged by Oswego East (Oswego, IL), 72-39, in a non-league battle.
