Ohio High School Basketball - Black River nudges Northwestern

December 28, 2024: Sullivan, OH 44880

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) and the visiting Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH), observed Black River's basketball team edge Northwestern by a score of 60-55.

The Pirates (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Rittman (Rittman, OH). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record.

In their next game, the Huskies encounter the Norwayne Bobcats (Creston, OH) in a Wayne County challenge, on Friday, January 3. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 64-40 non-league loss to Brecksville-Broadview Heights (Broadview Heights, OH).
