Next, the Royal Lions clash with the Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 4. Rockford Christian will attempt to improve on its 11-0 season record. The Comets come into the test with a 7-7 record after their 52-48 non-league win over Beecher (Beecher, IL).

The Raiders (4-7) will now prepare for their test against West Chicago (West Chicago, IL). The Wildcats come into the Upstate Eight test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, West Chicago went down by Sycamore (Sycamore, IL), 57-24, in a non-league test.
