DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Carlisle Bison (Carlisle, AR), 47-23 in a non-league match.

With the victory, DeWitt advances its record to 9-8 on the year. The Dragons travel to McGehee (McGehee, AR) to face the Owls in a 3A Region 8 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Owls enter the match with a record of 10-1.

The Bison now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCrory for a 2A Region 6 match on Friday, January 3. Carlisle will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 68-13 non-league loss to Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-10.
