In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Waterville Shockers basketball team scored a big 65-41 win over the La Center Wildcats.
The Shockers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Curlew (Curlew, WA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Curlew smashed Selkirk (Ione, WA), 42-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Columbia Bruins (White Salmon, WA) in a 1A Trico contest, on Monday, January 6. La Center will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Bruins come into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 42-38 league win over Kalama (Kalama, WA).
