The Lafayette Fighting Irish basketball team scored 47 points and limited the host Webb City Cardinals to 38 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Fighting Irish now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Maryville for a Midland Empire game on Thursday, January 9.

With the loss, Webb City falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Nixa (Nixa, MO) to confront the Eagles in a Central Ozarks game on Monday, January 6. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 5-2. Nixa lost 56-55 in their recent non-league game against Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)
