Illinois High School Basketball - Calvary thwarts Tremont

The Calvary Saints (Springfield, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL), 72-63 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Saints (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Edinburg/South Fork (Kincaid, IL). The Wildcats go into the MSM test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Edinburg/South Fork went down by North Greene (White Hall, IL), 54-45, in a non-league test.
The Turks now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Tri-Valley for a Heart of Illinois test on Tuesday, January 3. Tremont will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 59-39 non-league loss to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 4-7.
