In Thursday's non-league outing, the Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV) basketball squad edged the host Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV), by a count of 55-49.
The Mountaineers (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Indians go into the Big Ten outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Bridgeport held off Nicholas County (Summersville, WV), 60-34, in a non-league outing.
The Fighting Irish now hold a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Braxton County for a non-league outing on Friday, January 6. Notre Dame will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 84-49 non-league loss to South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.
