Nebraska High School Basketball - Beatrice can't hold off O'Neill

The O'Neill Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Beatrice Orangemen to 56 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boone Central for a C1 District 8 contest on Friday, January 5. O'Neill will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 62-20 non-league win over Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-3.
The Orangemen (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Seward (Seward, NE). The Bluejays come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Seward was nudged by Bishop Neumann (Wahoo, NE), 45-43, in a non-league contest.
