Tennessee High School Basketball - Loretto thwarts Belmont

The Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN) basketball knocked off the visiting Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS), 57-46 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (13-1) will now prepare for their test against Wayne County (Waynesboro, TN). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Wayne County notched a victory over Providence School (Jacksonville, FL), 56-35, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lauderdale County for a non-league test on Saturday, December 30. Belmont will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 69-30 non-league win over Fairview (Cullman, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 13-0.
