Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX), 62-12 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calallen upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Miller (Corpus Christi, TX) to clash with the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Miller lost 41-37 in their recent non-league bout against Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Marion Bulldogs (Marion, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Mathis will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 61-21 non-league loss to Shiner (Shiner, TX).
