Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY), 87-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covington Catholic upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to St. Henry (Erlanger, KY) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 2-1. St. Henry lost 70-57 in their recent non-league bout against Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Paul Laurence Dunbar will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 78-74 non-league loss to Oldham County (Buckner, KY).
