The Mabank Panthers (Mabank, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX), 65-27 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (14-10) will now prepare for their test against Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX). The Bears go into the 4A Region II District 16 test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Brownsboro walloped Corsicana (Corsicana, TX), 58-22, in a non-league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Whitesboro for a 3A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, January 3. Boyd will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 35-28 non-league win over Dodd City (Dodd City, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 15-8.
