In Friday's league outing, the Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT) basketball squad edged the visiting Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT), by a margin of 56-53.
The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, St. Johnsbury Academy was tipped by Rutland (Rutland, VT), 42-36, in a non-league outing.
The Lakers now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Vergennes for a Lake outing on Wednesday, January 4. Colchester will clash with a Commodores squad coming off a 56-51 league win over Milton (Milton, VT). The Commodores record now stands at 7-3.
