Texas High School Basketball - Conway thwarts La Vega

The Conway Wampus Cats (Conway, AR) basketball knocked off the host La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX), 46-37 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wampus Cats (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Duncanville (Duncanville, TX). The Panthers and Pantherettes go into the non-league test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Duncanville notched a victory over Walker (Walker, LA), 54-36, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 21-5 record. They play next when they travel to Parkway for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. La Vega will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 50-22 non-league win over Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 12-4.
