Next, the Cougars confront the Buena Bulldogs (Ventura, CA) in a Channel challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Ventura will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Royal (Simi Valley, CA).

The Highlanders now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Park for a Coastal Canyon challenge on Wednesday, January 4. Royal will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Oxnard (Oxnard, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-3.
