The Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), 71-54 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Gaels (7-0) will now prepare for their test against St. Raymond Boys (Bronx, NY). The Ravens go into the Catholic AA - New York test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, St. Raymond Boys notched a victory over Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA), 74-72, in a non-league test.

The Paladins now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Regional for a Big North - United test on Tuesday, January 2. Paramus Catholic will encounter a Green Knights squad coming off a 45-41 non-league win over Malden Catholic (Malden, MA). The Green Knights record now stands at 5-1.
