The Perkins County Plainsmen routed the visiting Leyton Warriors basketball team by a final score of 58-28 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Plainsmen face the St. Patrick's Irish (North Platte, NE) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 5. Perkins County will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record.

With the defeat, Leyton moves to 3-5 on the year. The Warriors travel to Paxton (Paxton, NE) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 4. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 5-4. Paxton won 60-55 in their recent non-league game against Cambridge (Cambridge, NE)
