St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rancho Christian Eagles (Temecula, CA), 62-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Bernard upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Vikings travel to Serra (Gardena, CA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Del Rey bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Serra won 59-51 in their recent non-league bout against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Elsinore Tigers (Wildomar, CA) in a Ivy bout, on Friday, January 5. Rancho Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 82-47 league loss to Poly (Riverside, CA).
