Greenville Spartans (Greenville, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Catskill Cats (Catskill, NY), 65-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Greenville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans host Cairo-Durham (Cairo, NY) to play the Mustangs in a Section 2 Patroon bout on Thursday, December 8. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Cairo-Durham won 48-21 in their recent non-league bout against Germantown (Germantown, NY)

Next up, the Cats play the Hudson Blue Hawks (Hudson, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon bout, on Friday, December 9. Catskill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Hawks go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 49-47 league win over Taconic Hills (Craryville, NY).
