The Staunton River Golden Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Liberty Minutemen to 53 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson Forest for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 6. Staunton River will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 47-43 non-league loss to Orange County (Orange, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-1.

The Minutemen (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers enter the Seminole contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Glass ran past Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 69-43, in a non-league contest.
