The Cave City Cavemen basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Calico Rock Pirates to 37 in the Cavemen non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cavemen now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tuckerman for a 3A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Cave City will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-39 league win over Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.

The Pirates (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Shirley (Shirley, AR). The Blue Devils enter the 1A Region 2 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Shirley was defeated by Norfork (Norfork, AR), 72-30, in a league contest.
