Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA), saw University's basketball squad hold off Venice by a count of 33-30.

With the victory, University upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA) to play the Dolphins in a Western challenge on Friday, December 9. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Palisades lost 79-56 in their recent league challenge against Westchester (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Gondoliers play the Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Venice will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 57-38 non-league loss to Village Christian (Sun Valley, CA).
