The Whittier Cardinals basketball team scored 76 points and held the host Cabrillo Jaguars to 59 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pomona for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Whittier will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 50-47 non-league loss to Compton (Compton, CA). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-8.

The Jaguars (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Compton Early College (Compton, CA). The Rising Phoenix enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Compton Early College ran past Ambassador (Torrance, CA), 74-60, in a league contest.
