St. Dominic Bayhawks (Oyster Bay, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cathedral Prep Crusaders (Elmhurst, NY), 69-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Dominic upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Bayhawks host Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, NY) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Cathedral Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
