Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ford Panthers (Quinlan, TX), 65-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Henderson upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 10-0. Brownsboro won 58-35 in their recent non-league bout against Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Ford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Community (Nevada, TX).
