Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA), 58-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highlands upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Golden Rams travel to Freeport (Freeport, PA) to play the Yellowjackets in a WPIAL 4A 1 bout on Thursday, January 5. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Kiski Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 66-45 non-league win over Erie (Erie, PA).
