The Negaunee Miners basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Houghton Gremlins to 41 in the Miners non-league triumph on Friday.

The Miners now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marquette for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12.

The Gremlins (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI). The Modeltowners enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Gwinn was defeated by Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI), 47-41, in a league contest.
