Florida High School Basketball - Ponce De Leon thwarts Malone

December 9, 2024: Malone, FL 32445

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Ponce De Leon Pirates (Ponce De Leon, FL) and the host Malone Tigers (Malone, FL), observed Ponce De Leon's basketball team knock off Malone by a score of 56-45.

The Pirates (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Poplar Springs (Graceville, FL). The Atomics come into the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Poplar Springs dropped by Headland (Headland, AL), 40-20, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Altha Wildcats (Altha, FL) in a Rural District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Malone will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 30-27 non-league loss to Jefferson County (Monticello, FL).
