The Tuloso-Midway Warriors/Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX), 59-55 in Tuesday's league test.
The Warriors/Cherokees (7-18) will now prepare for their test against King (Kingsville, TX). The Brahmas go into the 4A Region IV District 31 test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, King got by Alice (Alice, TX), 84-67, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Robstown for a 4A Region IV District 31 test on Friday, February 4. Zapata will encounter a Cottonpickers squad coming off a 65-64 league loss to Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX). The Cottonpickers record now stands at 7-14.
