Iowa High School Basketball - Winterset nudges North Polk

Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), 55-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Winterset upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Huskies host Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA) to clash with the Scarlets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 3. The Scarlets go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Des Moines East lost 82-8 in their recent non-league bout against Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA)
Next up, the Comets clash with the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Friday, February 4. North Polk will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 55-45 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA).
