The St. Anthony's Friars basketball team (Melville, NY), was nudged 50-46 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Massapequa Chiefs (Massapequa, NY)

The Chiefs now possess a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Uniondale for a Section 8 AA-1 battle on Friday, February 3. Massapequa will confront a Knights team coming off a 52-18 league loss to Syosset (Syosset, NY). The Knights record now stands at 9-7.

The Friars (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Syosset, NY). The Mustangs come into the Catholic - Long Island battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Our Lady of Mercy Academy was nudged by St. Mary's (Manhasset, NY), 98-70, in a league battle.
