The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Republic-Michigamme Hawks to 14 in the Lakes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lakes now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hancock for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Lake Linden-Hubbell will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 85-41 non-league loss to Negaunee (Negaunee, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.

The Hawks (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Baraga (Baraga, MI). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 8-8 record.
