With the victory, Gueydan improves its record to 3-16 on the campaign. The Bears host Basile (Basile, LA) to confront the Bearcats in a 1A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-14.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA) in a 2A District 8 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Delcambre will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 44-42 league loss to Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA).
