Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Point Pointers (South Point, OH), 61-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Portsmouth upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Fairland (Proctorville, OH) to play the Dragons in a Ohio Valley challenge on Monday, February 5. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 18-1. Fairland won 64-22 in their recent league challenge against Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH)

Next up, the Pointers confront the Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH) in a Ohio Valley challenge, on Monday, February 5. South Point will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Fighting Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 32-29 league win over Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH).
