The Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) basketball edged the host Martinsville Bluestreaks (Martinsville, IL), 39-38 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 6-18 record. They play next when they travel to Christopher for a Black Diamond - West bout on Tuesday, February 4. Trico will play a Bearcats team coming off a 61-49 non-league win over Steeleville (Steeleville, IL). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Martinsville falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Bluestreaks host Grayville (Grayville, IL) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 11-13.
