Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Rutherford Bulldogs (Rutherford, NJ) and the visiting Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), saw Rutherford's basketball squad hold off Hawthorne by a tally of 40-34.
With the victory, Rutherford improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ) to confront the Cardinals in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial challenge on Wednesday, February 16. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Pompton Lakes won 37-31 in their recent league challenge against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ)
Next up, the Bears confront the Manchester Regional Falcons (Haledon, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial challenge, on Wednesday, February 16. Hawthorne will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 45-8 league loss to Glen Rock (Glen Rock, NJ).
