Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA), 70-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 19-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Assumption (Davenport, IA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 11-12. Assumption won 45-12 in their recent non-league bout against Camanche (Camanche, IA)
