Montville Mustangs (Montville, NJ) supporters were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), 55-30 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Montville improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ) to confront the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 9-13. Lakeland Regional won 44-29 in their recent league challenge against Passaic Valley (Little Falls, NJ)

Next up, the Comets confront the Academy of the Holy Angels Angels (Demarest, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Hackensack will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record. The Angels come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 89-42 non-league loss to Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ).
