The Linsly Cadets basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Martins Ferry Purple Riders to 54 in the Cadets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cadets now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manchester for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 15.
The Purple Riders (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Steubenville (Steubenville, OH). The Big Red enter the non-league contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Steubenville ran past Beaver (Lisbon, OH), 69-60, in a non-league contest.
