Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Southwest Christian Stars (Chaska, MN), 92-75 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hopkins upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Royals travel to Wayzata (Plymouth, MN) to clash with the Trojans in a AAAA Section 6 bout on Thursday, February 15. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 21-1. Wayzata won 79-67 in their recent league bout against Edina (Edina, MN)

Next up, the Stars clash with the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars (Jordan, MN) in a AA Section 5 bout, on Friday, February 16. Southwest Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Hubmen / Jaguars go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 88-63 league win over Hiawatha Collegiate (Minneapolis, MN).
