Onaway Cardinals (Onaway, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Brimley Bays (Brimley, MI), 26-5 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Onaway upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI) to play the Snowbirds in a Ski-Valley bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Snowbirds come into the bout with a record of 12-5.

Next up, the Bays play the Pickford Panthers (Pickford, MI) in a Eastern Upper Peninsula bout, on Thursday, February 15. Brimley will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 52-27 non-league loss to Stephenson (Stephenson, MI).
