Mesabi East Giants (Aurora, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN), 75-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mesabi East upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Giants travel to Proctor (Proctor, MN) to play the Rails in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Rails come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Proctor won 62-33 in their recent non-league bout against Greenway (Coleraine, MN)

Next up, the grizzlies play the Greenway Raiders (Coleraine, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. North Woods will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 59-54 non-league win over Cherry (Iron, MN).
