East Grand Forks Green Wave (East Grand Forks, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Crookston Pirates (Crookston, MN), 74-69 in a league bout.

With the win, East Grand Forks upgrades its record to 11-13 on the season. The Green Wave host Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (Badger, MN) to play the Gators in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 15. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 1-24. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River lost 75-45 in their recent league bout against Warren-Alvarado-Oslo (Warren, MN)

Next up, the Pirates play the Thief River Falls Prowlers (Thief River Falls, MN) in a AA Section 8 bout, on Friday, February 16. Crookston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Prowlers go into the bout with a 8-16 record after their 94-82 non-league loss to Win-E-Mac (Erskine, MN).
