The Savannah Country Day Hornets lacrosse team scored 6 points and held the visiting Calvary Day Cavaliers to 5 in the Hornets non-league win on Tuesday.
The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their match against River Ridge (Woodstock, GA). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, River Ridge nudged Benedictine (Savannah, GA), 14-9, in a non-league match.
The Cavaliers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Lakeside for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 15. Calvary Day will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 13-7 non-league loss to Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
