North Carolina High School Basketball - Alleghany nips Starmount

Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), 63-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alleghany improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Trojans host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to confront the Sauras in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 15. The Sauras come into the challenge with a record of 20-4. South Stokes won 72-34 in their recent league challenge against Elkin (Elkin, NC)
